Awareness on Fundamental Human Right

The program was organized by ASPIR (Advocacy for the Support of Prisoners and Indigents Rights). On Friday 20th Sept 2019, at 10:am. Venue was ECWA Gospel Kabong, Rukuba Road, Jos.

It started with an opening prayer by Sylvia Avri Umaru, a staff of ASPIR. The aim of the event was to educate young people, particularly secondary school students on their basic fundamental human rights.

The speaker, Barr. Cecilia Tuwan pointed out that so many people in Nigeria do not know their rights, and because of that they can be denied justice. She urged the youths to know their rights, and to know what they are entitled to, and to stand and speak for it.

There were eleven participants in attendance, four males and seven females. They expressed their excitement over the event, and promised to share their experience with others.
